The Tamarack Golf Tournament's Men's qualifying rounds have finished and the tournament is set to start this week.

The Winnipeg Rifles host the Edmonton Wildcats for their home opener Saturday evening.

The Brandon Wheat Kings have named their new head coach.

Former Dauphin Kings assistant coach David Anning has been named the franchise's new head coach in the wake of Kelly McCrimmon stepping down from the role to join the NHL's new Las Vegas franchise.

Anning helped the Kings win an Anavet Cup in 2010. After that season he joined the Winnipeg Saints where he served as the Head Coach and GM. 

Anning coached with Winnipeg, Dauphin, and Steinbach in the MJHL over 6 seasons before joining the Wheat Kings in 2012-13.

The Wheat Kings also hired Don McGillivray and Aaron Rome as assistant coaches. 

Former Wheat Kings assistant Darren Ritchie is stepping into the role of Director of Scouting while Tyler Plante rejoins the Wheaties as Goaltending Coach.

 

CKDM is proud to announce the Dauphin Kings broadcast schedule for the 2016-17 MJHL season. 

The Canada 55+ games started yesterday in Brampton, Ontario. A Dauphin man is attending, playing on Team Manitoba's 60+ hockey team.

Dan Greening and Team Manitoba opened their games yesterday with a 6-0 loss against the Brampton 60s.

Today Manitoba is currently playing the Valley Selects 60+ team out of Nova Scotia. Later at 3:30 they take on Alberta's Vintage 60s.

There are a number of exciting opportunities soon approaching for Parkland rugby players.

Dauphin's Colour Blast takes place Saturday, August 27th.

 

The Winnipeg Jets will hold their 3rd annual Jets Fan Fest on Saturday September 24th at the MTS Iceplex.
 
The event features on-ice sessions from the Jets, live interviews with players and management, contests, giveaways, prizes, and much more. 
Travis Howdle, Zane Brindle, Branden McCrady, and Brayden Tomchuk are representing Dauphin on Team Manitoba in Toronto this week.
