Another year, another Dauphin Kings Tractor Lotto gone by. This year a group from Winnipegosis won it all.
Winn-Man Farms of Winnipegosis were the grand prize winners of $100,000 cash or credit to a John Deere tractor courtesy of Reit-Syd Equipment.
In the 50/50 side pot Dorie Birss of Dauphin took home $33,295.
The Kings and their volunteers thank all who participated in the Tractor Lotto this year.

The Dauphin Kings fell by a score of 5-1 for the second time in their last two contests.
The Kings out shot Wayway 40-34. The Wolverines picked up just their fourth win of the season and their second against the Kings. They are the last team to enter double digits in the points standings.
Keaton Leininger had the lone goal for the Kings on a third period power play.
Out of the Kings lineup were Trevor Selk, Darren Gisti, and Riese Gaber. Gisti has been called up by the WHL's Portland Winterhawks and Gaber is in Alberta with Team Canada West.
Back into the Kings lineup were Hayden Pierce and Tyler Derkach. Pierce made his return to the lineup after sitting out since the Kings second game of the season against OCN in which he was injured. Derkach made his season debut.
The Kings host Virden Saturday for Tractor Lotto Draw night. The game is free to attend but you must pick up your tickets in advance from Reit-Syd Equipment in Dauphin.

The Kings host Wayway tonight. It's the third meeting between the two this season. Also today from 4-5pm there's a Kings One Hour Power Play.
So far the season series is split 1-1, the Kings won the last meeting 6-3 on November 22nd.
Tractor Lotto tickets will be on sale tonight and new at the Kings merchandise table starting tonight are Dauphin Kings hockey cards. Game time is 7:30 at Credit Union Place.

The Dauphin Minor Hockey Super 8 Atom Tournament is officially underway.
Ten teams from The Pas, Thompson, Flin Flon, Swan River, Russell, Grand Plains, and Dauphin are competing in the tournament.
The tournament runs from Friday until Sunday afternoon with action at the Rotary Arena and Credit Union Place.

The Manitoba Curling Tour Men's and Women's Championships have arrived in Dauphin.
Three locals are trying to earn berths to provincials.
Dauphin's Ray Baker and Butch Mouck and his Gilbert Plains Team are competing amoung a full state of 16 teams including some of Manitoba's best.
In women's competition Dauphin's Lisa Menard is there representing the Parkland. She is amoung 8 women's teams trying to earn their pass to the Manitoba Scotties.
Only one Scotties berth is available at the Tour Championship this year.

Dauphin Kings forward Riese Gaber will be out of the Kings lineup for awhile, but for good reason.
The 17-year-old from Gilbert Plains has made Team Canada West's roster.
Gaber and Team Canada West, along with next head to Bonnyville, AB for the World Junior A Challenge. Dauphin Kings bench boss Marc Berry is also there as a member of Canada West's coaching staff.
Gaber continues to build on a already impressive full-time rookie season. In the month of December alone he's already been named a runner up for the MJHL Player of the Week, Rookie of the Month for the month of November, and named to the MJHL's Top 30 College Prospects list.
Gaber is fourth in rookie scoring at this point in the season with 9 goals and 10 assists. His 19 points are tied for second most on the Dauphin Kings.

The Parkland Rangers game for Wednesday, December 7th against the Brandon AAA Wheat Kings has been cancelled due to poor road conditions.
The game has been moved to Thursday, December 15th in Dauphin at 7:30.

All three of Wednesday night's MJHL contests have been postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date.
The Kings are unaffected as they were not scheduled to play.
The Kings next home game is Friday against Waywayseecappo.
