Inclement weather caused the postponement and delays of some events on Wednesday at the Canada Summer Games, but in the end, the action got underway in several sports. Here is how Manitoba did today.
Manitoba added on to their medal total on Wednesday increasing it to 26.
Wednesday's Medal Winners:
The Manitoba women's swimming team continued to roll on Wednesday and was all started with Sam Currie who won a bronze medal in the 100M backstroke Special Olympics event with her time of 1:41.77. Fellow Manitoba, Quinlan Roberts finished in fourth one second back of Currie.
Manitoba's Oksana Chaput won her second medal in as many days on Wednesday in the 50M butterfly women's race.
Men's Volleyball
The Manitoba men's volleyball team once again started their day off well with a 3-0 victory over Newfoundland and Labrador, but in a game that was for the second spot in the group, the Manitoba men were outplayed by Alberta, in losing three sets to one.
Manitoba will now take on the second place team in Group B, but who it will not be determined until Thursday afternoon.
Women's Volleyball
A golden chance to go 5-0 for the Manitoba women did not go as planned, but still, they earned the top spot in their group on Wednesday evening.
Manitoba started off their day by Crushing Prince Edward Island, allowing less than 30 points total, but that momentum didn't ride into their night game, as British Columbia earned a 3-1 win over Manitoba.
Despite their evening loss, the Manitoba women have earned a bye to the semifinals and will wait to see who they will play on Friday afternoon.
Men's Soccer
The Manitoba men's soccer team settled for a draw against a very tough Quebec team on Wednesday afternoon in Winnipeg.
As a result of the tie, Manitoba will play in the quarterfinals against New Brunswick at 4:30 on Thursday afternoon.
Women's Softball
Inconsistency continues to plague the Manitoba women's softball team after another day with a 1-1 record.
In game one of the day, the team beat Newfoundland and Labrador 7-0.
In game two, they met up with British Columbia, who came in undefeated and after the game, they remained undefeated after beating Manitoba, 12-5.
With the mixed day, Manitoba sits at 3-3 in their round robin and will play two more round robin games on Thursday.

With just three full days left, and one-half day left, the Canada Summer Games are quickly coming to an end, but Manitoba still has plenty of opportunities to claim medals in several sports, including in the pool tomorrow.
