The last time the Winnipeg Blue Bombers played a football game in BC, they gave up a 28-12 lead in the Western Semifinal to lose 32-31, that shocked most everybody.
Now, tonight's game isn't of the same magnitude of last year, but the Winnipeg Blue Bombers are once again in BC to take on the Lions and the taste of that loss is probably in most of the returning players mouths, but come 9:00 p.m. tonight, it's game time and what happened last year, must disappear if the Bombers want to win tonight against the Lions.
As far as regular season meetings between the teams go, the Bombers won both last year, and they will look to add another one to the win column tonight.
Heading into the game, the Lions are 3-1, and are nine point favourites and have won three straight games since dropping their home opener against Edmonton.
Not much will change for the Bombers tonight as far as starting lineups and their depth chart goes from one week ago. Matt Nichols is 14-9 as a starter for the Bombers including going 12-4 in his last 16 games.
Travis Lulay is scheduled to make his first start since 2015. He was the CFL's Most Outstanding Player in 2011 and has a 40-26 record in his lifetime, and is 1-0 this year after coming off the bench last week against the Tiger Cats.
As always, you can tune into Blue Bombers football tonight right here on 730CKDM, as we are a proud member of the Blue Bombers Radio Network. Kelly Moore will call the game, as Bob Irving underwent a heart procedure earlier this week. Kickoff is set for 9:00 p.m.
