The Brandon Wheat Kings season came to an end last night in Dauphin, as they fell to the Medicine Hat Tigers 3-2.
The game entered the third period at a 0-0 tie, but the two teams traded goals all the way to the end.

Head Coach David Anning reflects on the game and the season as a whole.

"We faced challenges and adversity all season with our injury situation. We've been missing some key guys in important times of the year. We never once used it as an excuse, I think our guys have stepped up to the challenge, I think tonight pretty much sums up our season; we were under-staffed, missing some keys guys and battled hard."

Wheat Kings Goalie Logan Thompson was the story of the night, stopping 51 shots in the loss.

Thompson talks about how his game changed from one night ago.

"I knew our backs were against the wall and the season was on the line and I had to be good. Obviously it's disappointing getting the loss, but I felt I did the best I (could) and the most I (could) to help us get the win."

Vegas Golden Knights prospect Reid Duke, as well as L-A Kings prospect Kale Clague lit the lamp for the Wheaties.

The Medicine Hat Tigers now become the first team in the WHL to move on to the second round of the postseason, and await the winner of either Lethbridge and Red Deer.
