A former Parkland Ranger has signed a WHL Standard Player Agreement with the Everett Silvertips.
Forward Mark Liwiski put up impressive stats in the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League this past season, enough to sign with the team.

He talks about the feeling of signing with a WHL team.

"It's a true honor, knowing you're trying to push for the next step of your hockey career, and it's a great experience. It's good for me and my family."

Liwiski explains his decision to sign with the team.

"We're a winning hockey club as you can see. We've made the playoffs countless numbers of years in a row, and when we locked up the US Division there, that's kind of what set me off. I want to be in a winning environment."

The 2001 born was drafted in the 3rd round of last-years WHL Bantam draft, and put up 54 points in 37 games with the Rangers this season.
