Parkland teams competing in Female Hockey Provincials this weekend are off to a strong start heading into playoffs on Sunday.

 

The Dauphin Midget Female Kings started their tournament with a 4-3 win over Neepawa on Friday night, then proceeded to beat Brandon 7-1. The Kings will now play Neepawa once again to start the playoffs tomorrow at 11 o'clock.

Gilbert Plains and Grandview are hosting the Female Rural Atom B Provincials. The host Grand Plains Ice Dogs are 3-0 heading into the playoffs, after beating AtoMc Purple Panthers 1-0 on Friday night, then defeated Elk Horn 10-2 on Saturday afternoon, and then closed out the day with a 5-1 win over La Broquerie. Playoffs begin tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.
