The WHL Playoff atmosphere will be hitting Dauphin in the next few weeks.
The Brandon Wheat Kings will be unable to use their current home rink, Westman Place, due to the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, and so the Wheat Kings will make Credit Union Place their temporary home.
Chris Falco, Director of Game Day Operations and Community Relations, feels that although there are challenges with moving a team just for the playoffs, the players will be able to handle it.
"Whenever you get athletes who are creatures of habit, and you get them into rhythm, it definitely is going to be strange to be playing in your home building, in a building that you've never been in before, let alone know. So it is definitely going to have an effect. At the same time, this is a team that just last year, won the WHL championship. We have guys that have so much experience. Once the playoffs hit, everyone knows it's kind of a new season."
Tickets will be available through the Brandon Wheat Kings Box Office starting Monday March 20th at 10 am. And can be picked up in Dauphin starting on Monday the 27th at noon.
