The Kings avenged their recent shootout road loss to the Winnipeg Blues with a shootout win of their own, downing the Blues 4-3 Saturday night.

Once again the Kings found scoring success in the second period, putting three on the board when Riese Gaber, Brett Piper, and Matt Bartel gave the Kings the 3-2 lead into the third.

The Blues evened the score at the halfway mark in the third and the teams played in a stalemate until overtime.

Despite having a two minute power play, overtime solved nothing and the game went to the shootout.

Nobody scored until the fourth round of the shootout when Daniel Chartrand beat Adam Derochie five hole to give the Kings the win.

The Kings now look ahead to Tuesday's game against the OCN Blizzard.
