The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) has unveiled its rosters for the highly anticipated MJHL/SJHL Showcase, set to take place later this month at Winnipeg's Seven Oaks Sportsplex. Among the league’s brightest stars, five standout players from the Dauphin Kings have earned their spots on the rosters, ready to represent their team and league.

Here’s a closer look at the Kings heading to the Showcase:

Gavin Nemis – Team 18U White

Skating on a line with Cayden Glover and Madden Murray, Nemis has transformed into a game-changer. With his electrifying speed and relentless work ethic, Nemis consistently dominates shifts and makes his presence felt. His poise and determination promise an exciting second half of the season as he continues to elevate his play.
2024-25 Stats: 8 goals, 21 assists – 29 points

Cayden Glover – Team 20U Black

Glover has been a scoring machine, leading the league with 28 goals. With 45 points, he’s solidified his spot among the MJHL’s top 10 scorers. Known for his accurate shot, Glover has recorded nine multi-goal games and remains a constant threat on the ice. Expect him to keep lighting it up as the season progresses.
2024-25 Stats: 28 goals, 17 assists – 45 points

Naaman Hofer – Team 20U Black

With a future locked in at NCAA Division I’s University of Alaska-Anchorage, Hofer has been dominant on the blue line. Leading all MJHL defenders with 41 points, Hofer’s smooth skating and ability to navigate pressure make him a key playmaker. A dynamic and electrifying player, Hofer is a name to watch in the Showcase.
2024-25 Stats: 5 goals, 36 assists – 41 points

Matthew Thomas – Team 20U Black

At just 18, Thomas is making an impact on both ends of the ice. Averaging nearly a point per game, his power-play precision and defensive improvements have made him a crucial player for the Kings. His razor-sharp shot keeps opponents on edge, and his development shows no signs of slowing down.
2024-25 Stats: 11 goals, 15 assists – 26 points

Cole Sheffield – Team 20U Black

The backbone of the Kings, Sheffield has been nothing short of stellar. Leading the league in minutes played (1,697) and tied for second with 19 wins, the 20-year-old goalie continues to dominate. After a spectacular playoff performance last season, Sheffield’s form remains elite as he ranks near the top of every statistical category.
2024-25 Stats: 19-8-1 (2.44 GAA, .920 SV%)

 

Swan Valley Bright Spots

Despite a challenging season, Landen Gulutzan and Will Brown have been key contributors for Swan Valley. The 20-year-olds will represent the Stampeders on Team 20U Black, bringing their skill and leadership to the Showcase.

  • Landen Gulutzan: 15 goals, 24 assists
  • Will Brown: 13 goals, 23 assists

Each MJHL team will play two games against all-star teams from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). The event takes place on January 28-29 and you can get your tickets here. They will also be available at the door.
