The wait is nearly over.
Four years after Dauphin and the area were scheduled to host the Manitoba Summer Games, all systems are a go. Starting on Sunday, the Parkland region will be on full display as the Games, Powered by Manitoba Hydro, will see more than 1800 athletes competing for gold medals over a week.
Beginning with the Opening Ceremonies on Sunday evening at 6:30 at Credit Union Place, the competition starts Monday morning and continues until next Saturday. Many local athletes will be under the bright lights showing off their talents.
