What a season it was for the Layne Stars hockey program.
The U18 team recently capped off a season to remember by winning the Manito Ahbee Cup. The tournament victory capped off a perfect three-for-three for the team who also won the All Nation Tribal Days event and MICEC.
In the final, Layne Stars beat the Dakota Warriors, 5-4. Chantyn Thompson led the way with two goals for Layne Stars. Bruce Bouchand, Cash Clarkson, and Liam Chartrand also scored in the gold medal win.
Before their game against Dakota, the Layne Stars dispatched Sandy Bay, 4-2. Isaac Catcheway, Chantyn Thompson, Cash Clarkson, and Liam Chartrand scored in that victory.
