The Parkland U18 Rangers are now looking ahead to the regular season after a 4-3 shootout loss to Yellowhead on Tuesday.
In a back and forth game, Parkland found themselves trailing 3-2 late in the game before Luke Myhre scored to send the game into overtime which solved nothing.
In his first game of the preseason with Parkland, Madden Murray looked impressive as he scored once and added one assist. Ryan Gower scored Parkland's other goal while Dru Mushumanski had two assists.
Kyler Swanton went 13-for-14 in net while Chase Glover turned away 19 of the 21 shots he faced.
Next up for Parkland is a game Saturday afternoon against the Wild, that begins the regular season.
