Josh Brook will get an opportunity to make the Calgary Flames this season.
The Roblin native signed a professional tryout with the Flames after he was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2017 in the second round.
Josh played 12 regular season games last season, split equally between the Laval Rocket of the American Hockey League and Trois-Rivières Lions of the ECHL. He then scored once and had five assists in seven playoff games with the Lions. That was the highest point total for a defenceman on the team and he was second overall in team playoff scoring.
Josh is just a few years removed from playing with Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships.
