Qualifying at this year's Tamarack Tournament on the men's side was shortened to just one round after inclement weather hit the area on Sunday.
Although some players had finished their second rounds prior to play being halted, the scores will not count. Among those finishing their second round was John Tomlinson and Mark Odut. Tomlinson shot an 80 in his first round.
On Saturday, Jay Thiesen of Russell was the low Parkland golfer as he fired a 1 over, 73. Regan Hedley joins Jay in the championship flight after he fired a 2 over, 74. Dustin Dyck -- the winner of the past two events -- failed to make the championship bracket after he opened with a 3 over, 75 to place 25th.
Mark Odut shot 76 while Jason Yates shot a 79. Jake Wiens fired an 80. Jerron Kyle shot an 80 on Saturday and Steve Desroches shot a 9 over, 81. Tyler Carefoot finished with an 83, as did Mike Sparrow, Bart Michaleski, Joran Hedley, while Lawson Yates, and Anthony Wiens shot an 84.
Rob Bouchard finished with a 13 over, 85 and Dan Keeping shot a 91. Noah Wiens shot a 92, and Luke Michaleski shot a 110.
