The Dauphin Kings are now in must-win mode after they lost to Swan Valley tonight, 5-3.

The win gave the Stamps a 3-0 lead in the best of seven.

Once again the Kings were late to show up to the game as Swan scored two very quick goals.

Just 1:07 in, Brian Harris made it 1-0. Under two minutes later at the 1:52 mark, Bradly Goethals made it 2-0 for the Stamps.

The Kings did fire back on the power play as Riley Shamray fired home a shot from the point to cut the deficit in half, 7:50 in.

Swan Valley responded next. This time it was them who struck on the power play as Campbell Balk made it 3-1. Before the period expired, the Kings got back in it.

Cole DeKoninck brought the club within one with just more than five minutes left in the first as Swan led 3-2 after 20.

The hot starts to periods continued for Swan in the second. Josh Tripp made it 4-2 at the 3:40 mark.

The back and forth battle continued as Dauphin got within one as “AP” player, Mattie Boonstra drove the net and ended up scoring his first ever MJHL goal.

A nifty move from Matthew Osadick gave Swan their two-goal lead back after 40 at 5-3.

No goals were scored in the third as the Stamps skated off with a 5-3 win.

Game four returns to Credit Union Place on Friday. Darnell Duff has the Parkland Source for Sports pregame show at 7:00 p.m.
