The Dauphin Kings continue to play very well at times, but a couple breakdowns cost them a game tonight.

They lost 3-2 to the Wolverines in their final road game of 2018.

Brendan Arnold opened up the scoring just over two minutes into the game as the Kings led 1-0 after 20.

Wayway responded late in the second period to tie it up after 40.

Carter Sawchuk then scored for the couple just more then a couple minutes into the third to take a 2-1 lead.

On one of the breakdowns, Wayway went on a 2 on 1 and tapped the puck in past Landsberger.

Greg Lee would then score the game winner 11:05 into the third.

Tonight’s affair was a rough one. Dauphin has 78 penalty minutes and Wayway had 86

Dauphin has now lost five straight games. They’re 0-4-1 in that span. With the loss and a Winnipeg Blues win tonight, Dauphin and the Blues are now tied in sixth place.

The Kings will look to end off 2018 on a high note tomorrow. They welcome the Virden Oil Capitals to town.
