The Mountain View School Division and the Graduation Powwow Committee have released their first-ever virtual graduation powwow video.

A statement from the MVSD Graduation Powwow Committee says that they’re proud to present this tribute and that they wish everyone a healthy, safe, and fun summer.

Last week a total of 96 warnings and 108 tickets were issued in the province for COVID-19 Health order violations.

95 $1,296 tickets were issued to individuals, seven $298 tickets were given to people for not wearing a mask in an indoor public place, and two $5,000 tickets were given to businesses.

90 of the 95 $1,296 tickets issued were in relation to gatherings in private residences or outdoors, and four for failure to self-isolate.

Early Tuesday afternoon, Co-op announced a $115,000 donation to Dauphin Recreation Services.

As provinces across Western Canada look to reopen, Co-op community spaces are funding projects that will help bring communities back together.

This year Co-op is providing $115,000 to develop a toboggan run in Dauphin as well as an outdoor climbing wall, warming hut, canteen and more to provide families and children of all ages the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

A toboggan run has been in the talks for over a decade in Dauphin. Now it's becoming a reality thanks to Co-op community spaces. 

The location of the toboggan run will be on DRS grounds, but the exact site of construction for the project is still to be determined.

On top of the appointments already booked, the Dauphin supersite will be offering limited Moderna walk-in vaccines this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Walk-in clients will be treated as first come, first served for the 60 doses available each day.

The hours for operation are,

12 pm to 2 pm for first dose clients.

2-4:30 pm for both first and second-dose clients.

A Manitoba man that owns firearms, police tactical equipment, replica police clothing, and patches is wanted by the RCMP.

A warrant has been issued for Eric Paul Wildman as he's been formally charged with unsafe transportation of a firearm and possession of a prohibited device with a licence. 

Police searched Wildman's vehicle this past weekend and during the search, they found police tactical equipment, police patches, and other items resembling police clothing. 

The RCMP believes he may have further access to firearms and police items. On top of those charges, Wildman is also considered a suspect in the homicide of Clifford Joseph, a 40-year-old man that was last seen on June 7 leaving his home in the RM of St. Clements. 

Wildman is considered armed and dangerous. He's described as six feet, two inches and 170 pounds, with blue eyes.

A tip line has been set up for any information relating to Wildman. RCMP says anyone with information is asked to call 431-489-8551 or call 911.

A man from Dauphin is facing firearm-related charges as well as a charge of Possession of Stolen Property after a search warrant was executed late last week.

On June 12, Dauphin RCMP received two reports of break and enters in the RM of Dauphin, where firearms had been stolen. As a result, the suspect's residence was searched by police, where some of the stolen firearms, along with other stolen property, were found.

This investigation continues and we will provide more when we can.

This morning the dauphin Co-op Food store held two presentations, and the first was a cheque presentation for Relay for Life.

Melinda Harris, Co-ops Grocery Department Manager and cancer survivor had been collecting pledges for Relay for Life, and the store was also accepting donations.

The total amount raised was $1,643.50.

Harris says that the generosity of the community allowed them to raise that amount of money.

“As a 32-year cancer survivor Relay for Life has touched me deeply.”

On top of this donation, many of the workers at the store have been purchasing hygiene items to donate to Under One Roof.

This started when Marie Armstrong, who is a cashier, purchased $228.78 in hygiene items and challenged her co-workers to pool their money to meet or exceed her donation.

The store currently has over $600.00 in items that they’re donating.

Today Mountain View School Division was advised of a few associated cases at schools in Dauphin.

These individuals were not present in the school during their infectious period, there are no school-related close contacts, and no public health investigation is required.

Three of the associated cases were at Henderson Elementary School, one at MacKenzie Middle School, and one at Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School.

A member of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service is not facing charges after he shot a man who was attacking him.

In May of 2019, the officer was called to a business on the Waywayseecappo First Nation because of a disturbance.

When he tried to arrest a man, another man stabbed the officer several times.

The officer then shot and injured the man who stabbed him.

The Independent Investigation Unit  says the officer will not face any charges.

Last week, the man who stabbed the officer was sent to prison for nine years.

Manitobans who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on or before May 10th can now get a second dose.

A total of 1,045,956 doses have been administered in the province.

All people aged 12 and up are eligible to book their first-dose appointments.

Ontario is reopening its borders with Manitoba and Quebec on Wednesday.

Today Solicitor General Sylvia Jones said that Ontario won’t extend the order that had been in place since April that restricted non-essential travel between the provinces.

Manitobans visiting Ontario must still self-isolate for two weeks when returning to Manitoba, unless they have an immunization card, showing that they are fully vaccinated.
