A powerful storm will be hitting Manitoba Tuesday, bringing freezing rain, heavy snow, and strong wind gusts to the province.

West Central Manitoba will see the most snow, which will be between 10- and 20-centimetres. The wind gusts are expected to get up to 80 kilometres an hour, producing blizzard-like conditions throughout the province.

Blizzard Watches have been issued for Lake Winnipegosis and the north and south basin of Lake Winnipeg.

The system will leave Manitoba Tuesday night, with clearer and cooler conditions in the foreseeable future.
