Are you looking for a fun evening of music and dancing in Dauphin?
The Big Band Fundraiser is making a comeback, featuring Dauphin’s own Arhythmetic Jazz Ensemble, this Friday.
Director for the band, Taylor Schmidt, explains the history of the event:
“Well, you know, the Big Band Dance Night, it was something that was done back actually when I was in high school, and it was a big evening back in the '90s. It was just an evening out for people who wanted to come and do some dancing, and they also used it for a fundraiser for the Dauphin Ochre Band Parents Organization, and it kind of went away for a while.”
Tickets are $20 each and available at the Watson Arts Centre, and Dauphin Music & Electronics.
