Four Manitoba fishers are owed over $1 million dollars from Northern Walleye Inc.

Waterhen Winter Fisheries; Ashern Fisheries Co-op; Eddystone Fisheries Co-op; and Dawson Bay Fisher Packers agreed to allow the company to market their catch to American companies.

The province announced last August they would withdraw from the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act.

This allowed fishers to sell fish privately or to the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation.
