Manitoba Health reports that there has been double the number of deaths this week from the flu compared to the previous week.
17 people have died from outcomes linked to influenza since the beginning of the flu season this year.
The number of deaths is also higher than last year’s.
To date only 20 percent of Manitobans have received the flu shot.
