ACC is working with Long Plain First Nation, just southwest of Portage La Prairie, on an applied counseling certificate program.
The course will teach youth and family counseling skills, focus on children, along with culture, trauma and crisis treatment.
Chief Dennis Meeches stated that the First Nation was fortunate to partner up with ACC to offer the program.
