Community Futures Parkland is committed to helping with community and entrepreneurial development in the region.
Nominations for community grants and volunteer awards are currently being accepted by the organization.
Breanne Maxwell, community development co-ordinator of Community Futures Parkland, talks about why these awards and grants are important to the Parkland.
“I think it’s important to remind folks of all the wonderful local projects and businesses that we have here. It’s nice to support each other in that way, and it’s also really great to recognize the volunteers that do so much work in our community. They are really the backbone to much of what happens here.”
The deadline for nominations is March 12.
