News of the MRI machine coming to Dauphin has been the perfect gift for the holidays.
There has been no timeline or date given as to when the machine will arrive.
Manitoba NDP leader, Wab Kinew, is happy this finally happened however talks about the consequences of the delay.
“This is good news for Dauphin but the Pallister government is very disappointing in that they took so long to make this happen,” explained Kinew. “According to the numbers we got from the ministry of health, it looks like 3000 to 4000 MRIs could have been done in Dauphin this year if they would have moved more quickly on this.”
The MRI machine still has to be ordered and built.
