A general rate increase for Basic compulsory motor vehicle premiums of 2.6% will come into effect on March 1st.
Private passenger, commercial, motorcycle, trailers, public, and off-road vehicles will be subject to increases.
The Manitoba Utilities Board also approved a 1.8% rate increase to the demerit scale for driver premiums under the Driver Safety Rating system.
Premium increases are still going to be based on your driving record.
