The Belair Forest Fire near Grand Beach is under control. But officials still say strong winds pose a threat.
The fire covered about four hectares of forest and gusting winds had whipped up the flames, according to East Beaches Fire and Rescue Chief Mark Sinclair
A passerby noticed the flames on the east side of Highway 59 and called the Grand Beach fire department around 4:15 this morning
So far no communities are threatened but because of the direction of the wind, it is moving towards Traverse Bay.
