The 2017 district meetings for Manitoba Beef Producers begin next week.
14 meetings are planned, one in each district, for members to discuss and be informed about the operation of the organization. MBP President Ben Fox tells members why it’s important that they attend.
“I can’t reiterate enough, how important it is for producers to be at the meetings, and to help set forth the path for the Manitoba Beef Producers Board of Directors in the upcoming year. And it’s also a good way to find out where your checkoff dollars are being spent. And we try and keep it very informative. There is the opportunity to let your voice be heard and help direct policy for the upcoming year. So we look forward to seeing all the beef producers coming out to all the various meetings throughout the province.”
Each meeting is open to all Manitoba Beef Producers to attend. There are 4 open positions on the board this year. If someone is thinking about joining the board they should contact their local director to learn more about what the job entails.
