On Wednesday, most students in Mountain View School Division are getting ready to go back to school.

MacKenzie Middle School students in Grade 6 and 7 start school on Wednesday, while the Grade 8 students are scheduled to start on Thursday.

Mountain View School Division Superintendent CEO, Donna Davidson, notes what programs and courses the high school students can expect this year.

“We have our dual credit with regards to the Health Care Aide Program and we are in our second year of pilot and it will still be available to our students at the high school and the high school program,” noted Davidson.  “We still have our High School Apprenticeship Program available for our students at the high school.  All of our schools have their slate of curriculum and we are looking forward to providing strong instruction and assessment practices so our students at Mountain View School Division can reach their full potential.”

There have been some discussions about school speed zones, but nothing has been implemented for the school year.
