It looks like Dauphin is still going to have to wait to receive an answer on the MRI machine.

In a statement released from the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living, Kelvin Goertzen’s office it has been stated,” The Wait Times Task force is currently examining priority procedures like MRI’s and their findings will inform us how the system is best structured.  We are awaiting the Task Force’s final recommendations and report. We know there is a limited amount of money available within the healthcare system so proper alignment of services will ensure every dollar that is invested gets the best possible results.”

Approximately $3.9 million dollars was invested in the new building for the MRI machine at the Dauphin Hospital.
