According to RCMP, two males remain in custody after the events of July 17, where they were barricaded inside a home on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie.
Portage RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team successfully entered the home and the two males were arrested. They have now been charged. Francis Markus Beaulieu, 27, of Portage, is facing 12 charges, including Uttering Threats, Resist/Obstruct Peace Officer, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and numerous firearm charges. Joel John Beaudin, 27, of Portage, is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine and Fail to Comply with Recognizance.
The investigation continues and more charges could be laid.
