With Parks Day, Canada Day, and Clear Lake day behind us, there are still many activities to do and things to see in Riding Mountain National Park.

Compared to last year the park is seeing more people getting out and enjoying the park. Cal Martin, Acting Visitor Experience Manager for the park, lets people know what else the park has to offer all through the summer.

“We do have a full slate of programs that are offered every day. We’ve got interpretive programs happening, we’ve got the visitor centre open, the park is in full swing. I’ve been out a lot hiking the trails and there are some gorgeous wild flowers that are blooming. So there’s lots to do in the park and there is all of the camp grounds that people can come to, all of the hiking trials they can go on. But in terms of special events, we’re not packaging them together under a specific title this coming weekend “

Martin says that the park will be busier than usual because of Canada 150. The Free entry pass is having a positive effect on attendance all around the park this year.
