In light of the Minister of Health Kelvin Goertzen's recent announcement of a new Provincial Health Organization, there will be changes being implemented to the health region authorities.
Prairie Mountain Health CEO, Penny Gilson, reflects on the announcement
"There will be a shared health services Manitoba organization established, which will look at setting forth some goals around the coordination and centralized oversight but local delivery of the clinical services. So when manitobans are accessing sevices across manitoba they can expect the same level of service if its the same type of service wherever they go in the province."
The new organization has been titled as Shared Health Services Manitoba.
