Mountain View School Division has been working with the City of Dauphin to ensure the safety of students when it comes to high traffic areas around the school.
There are still some concerns with traffic on Mountain Road in Dauphin that both parties will be taking a closer look at.
Bart Michaleski, Secretary/Treasurer for Mountain View School Division, knows that public education is the key to these issues.
"When we were working with city officials in Dauphin, we identified a number of issues around schools where there was significant traffic, an example comes to mind, Mackenzie School, I believe it's 1st street corridor, that has a fair bit of traffic, and we have a lot of pedestrian traffic around our schools."
The division will continue to work with the City of Dauphin to find successful strategies for safe school zones.
