An annual Manitoba tradition is beginning to wind down it's 110th anniversary.

All week CKDM has been following the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair currently taking place at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.

Today is BMO Kids Day at the fair with a Klondike Showmanship Cattle Show kicking things off.

According to General Manager Ron Kristjansson it's important to embrace agricultural technology moving forward with young farmers.

"That's probably one of the most significant changes in a 110 years for an AG exhibition is technology, you know we went from where draft horses were the horse power doing the agriculture -- they're still a part of our show -- but they're more of an entertainment piece for most of the audience [...] for people who are bringing the horses to town it's how they make their living."

Day four will also feature Youth Heavy Horse Decorating, Youth Heavy Horse Showmanship and a Prospect Steers & Market Steers Cattle Show.
