A electronic recycling depot is making it's way to Winnipegosis.

The community of Winnipegosis had been collecting disposable electronics in the past for recycling, but needed a building to store them out of the natural elements until pick up.

According to Program Director for the Electronic Products Recycling Association of Manitoba Dennis Neufeld, it was a necessity that needed to be filled.

"The community itself reached out to me and the program that they have been noticing that quite a few electronics have been dropped off at the landfill. So Winnipegosis felt that there is enough material coming into their community, that they want to have a depot. It just makes things move convenient for the residents of Winnipegosis."

E-P-R-A Manitoba's goal is to reduce the amount of electronics tossed out in landfill sites.
