Sneath Strilchuk Funeral Services has a new home.
On Saturday, the funeral home will be holding an open house after the old location one burned down a couple of years ago.

Owner Joe Coffey provides some details on the new facility.

"The funeral home burned down about two years ago in the fall of 2014, and so in a way it was an opportunity to rebuild and offer the community a new facility. So we're happy to have our facility done, and we're going to be moving our offices from downtown to Riverside road, along with a 200 person chapel and a 200 person reception centre."

Coffey says the new facility is something for the community to be proud of.

"We're exceptionally proud, my wife and I, my family, we're very excited and happy to be able to provide something as nice as we've built here for the community and the Parkland to mourn the loss of their loved ones."

The open house is scheduled to start at 11 am  with a program and blessing, lunch will be served from 12 to 2 pm, and should end by 4pm.
