The City of Dauphin could be receiving a new set of street lights in the near future.
Recently the city has been in consultation with Manitoba Infrastructure signals engineer Jagpal Malik about the design of the lights.

CAO Sharla Griffiths expects the lights to be installed in the next few months.

"About three weeks ago City of Dauphin met with a representative from Manitoba Infrastructure out of Winnipeg and he is responsible for designing the signals at the corner of city hall and Mr. Mikes... he anticipates after the design is done they may be up later this summer of 2017 or early fall."

Griffiths also says that Malik did inform the city that the lights are currently not on the provincial budget as of now, but there's a strong anticipation that they will be.
