A winter storm watch is currently in effect for some areas of the Parkland.
Environment Canada previously indicated a special weather statement for the area, but now has upgraded that status to a winter storm watch.
The watch covers a number of areas including Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Roblin, Mossey River, Ethelbert, Dauphin and surrounding areas.
Persons in or near these areas are advised to be aware of adverse weather conditions and take necessary safety precautions.
