A terrible end to a search for a missing snowmobiler in northern Manitoba.
Friends of David MacDonald, an outdoor education teacher in Nelson House, said he left Thursday for a cabin in Osik Lake but never returned.
RCMP had said a search revealed snowmobile tracks leading to open water on ice.
They now say his body has been found and his snowmobile did go through the ice.
Nelson House Chief Marcel Moody says MacDonald taught outdoor education in the community for more than five years.
