The Manitoba government says it will spend $502-million on planned highway and bridge infrastructure investment over the next construction season.
Infrastructure minister Blaine Pedersen released the 2017/18 construction tendering schedule alongside the announcement today in Winnipeg.
The government is committing $500-million per year over each of the following four years, as well.
Included in the planned work are gravel road restoration for 16 kilometres on PR 481 north of Ste Rose, and 17.4 kilometres of paving on Highway 83 south of Roblin.
The $502-million sum also includes projects that have already been tendered or construction started, such as 17.5 kilometres of paving on Highway 5 near Grandview.
