A crash on the Trans Canada Highway involving a semi and an SUV has killed a man from McCreary.
RCMP say yesterdayafternoon a southbound semi was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes at an intersection in the RM of Portage la Prairie, and collided with an SUV heading east.
The 72-year-old McCreary man driving the SUV died at the scene. His passenger, a 73-year-old woman, also from McCreary, is in stable condition in a Winnipeg hospital.
The driver of the semi was not hurt.
