Three people from Regina are now facing charges after a police chase in Brandon.

 

White Butte, Saskatchewan RCMP called Brandon police for help with a suspect in a break-and-enter yesterday in which numerous guns had been stolen.

An officer in Brandon approached a suspect in a shopping mall parking lot, but the man fled in a truck, leading police on a chase through the city, onto Highway 1, and back into Brandon.

Police used a “high-risk takedown” and spike belts to stop the truck and later arrested three people.

A 26-year-old man from Regina is charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 34-year-old woman and a 15-year-old male youth are charged with flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of methamphetamine.
