An Ochre River organization has donated its remaining funds to the local community foundation.
The Ochre River's Rising Star 4H Club donated $507.43 this past Saturday during the community foundation's annual dinner and grant night.
Former member Alyson Sametz says there's been a lack of participation with the Rising Stars 4H Club, but are always looking towards the future.
She added, "The club is always welcome to take back up again, but we felt the need to donate the funds to the community foundation because we wanted to make sure that the money we raised from the community stays in the community."
Chairperson for the Ochre River Community foundation, Kim Safronetz says more than $4,400 dollars in grants are being given out this year.
