Dauphin's Yardfringe is a couple months away and it's not too late to volunteer or offer up your yard.

This one day event turns community yards into venues for the arts.

Tourism and Marketing Cordinator with the City of Dauphin, Melisa Stefaniw says they are really excited about this year's bash.

"It's kind of steadily growing every year and we're about to release the route map. So, that's the map that people can follow from venue to venue that will be coming out next week."

They are keeping the traditional events alive but, Stefaniw says they have brought in new and exciting activities that will be very unique.

The event started just almost four years ago.

"It was to create an event that was free for everybody and to help showcase the talent and creative genius that we have and exist in our community." says Stefaniw. "And we also have people who have absolutely stunningly beautiful yards that you know sit unused sometimes, so it's kind of a garden tour as well."

They are always looking for people to contact them about offering up their yards or if they are wanting to volunteer regardless of how far they are in the process as it helps them plan for coming years.

Keep up to date with what's going on with it on there Facebook Page

Yardfringe is October 1st.
