Despite a tornado here in western Manitoba, it looks like the worst damage from the long weekend storms was to the right and left of us.

Warning preparedness meteorologist Natalie Hasell says Environment Canada did receive calls about a tornado in the Camperville area on Sunday.

"A brief tornado was reported 15 kilometres south of Camperville at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday and no damage was reported with this tornado."

The storm traveled east, hitting the Red River Valley on Monday. Pictures under the hashtag #MBstorm on Twitter show flooding and hail in communities near Winnipeg.

Over in Saskatchewan, two tornadoes touched down north of Melville on Sunday, destroying a home and causing extensive damage to farms.
