A Dauphin woman whose family was bear maced in an attempted home invasion says she's living in constant fear.

Linda Rudrum says bear mace was used when people tried to enter her home on June 22nd. She says they tried to enter after knocking on the door and attacking one of her family members.

"They forcibly tried to get in and the two family members held them-- held the door-- while they continued to spray the mace in the home, also through the air conditioner."

Rudrum, who wasn't home at the time, says the attackers intended to cause direct harm.

Rudrum says she feels like her family hasn't been a priority for RCMP.

RCMP say they are actively investigating.

Corrections and clarifications: Rudrum is a renter, not a home owner; she was not home at the time of the attack.
