A Winnipeg researcher recently found most Canadian schools to be in support of LGBTQ students and Mountain View School Division is no different.
MVSD Assistant Superintendent Dan ward says MVSD has proper procedures in making all their students safe and welcome. He said, "The programs that would support LGBTQ youth would fall under our respect for Human Diversity Policy, and within that Human Diversity Policy there are provisions to provide training for staff to ensure that our schools are a really safe and caring place for all students."
The city of Steinbach is scheduled to have its first Pride march this weekend amidst a series of controversies.
