A Brandon woman is facing a charge in relation to her mother's death for allegedly stopping medical care in favour of alternative forms of therapy.
Brandon police have charged a 58-year-old woman with "failing to provide the necessaries of life to a person under charge."
Family members called police to intervene after the mother became increasingly ill. She was taken to hospital where she later died.
The accused was arrested yesterday and will appear in court in August.
