Russell RCMP arrested three men after a recent traffic stop.
On December 5, officers stopped a vehicle with three people inside it on Highway 16, outside of the town of Russell.
While officers were talking to the 34-year-old male driver, it was learned that he did not have a valid license. The 50-year-old male passenger was asked to switch spots with him and while this was happening, the officer noticed drugs inside the vehicle and all three were arrested.
The driver, 34-year-old Kacey Packham, along with two male passengers (50 and 29 years old), all from Brandon, were charged with Trafficking of a Scheduled Substance x 4.
Packham remains in police custody; the others were released with upcoming court dates.
